TMA-Global supported the RapidKL Ampang Line Extension, a project extending the Sri Petaling line to Putra Heights and introducing Thales Seltrac CBTC signalling across both new and existing sections.

Our role focused on providing operational advice for the CBTC system and developing operational rules and procedures to enable the safe, phased implementation of the modern technology.

TMA reviewed technical manuals, operator guides, existing rules, emergency plans, and infrastructure documentation. Based on these reviews, we developed new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for migration activities and produced updated Rule Books for post-migration operations. We also led senior management workshops to introduce and ratify the new procedures.

Additionally, we advised on the operational impact of the new technology, ensuring the client fully understood the performance implications. We designed Trial Running scenarios, supervised staff during migration, and supported both the operator and build contractor on safe operational practices and system interface issues between legacy and new infrastructure.
